about

After his several remixes for The Nautilus Project and the launch of the collaborative "Forest Roots" label together in 2012, it´s time for something new in-between.

Jaymon stands for experimental, sample/field recording-based, dub-influenced music, and besides his other works on the lusatian imprint, he produced 3 tracks between February & November 2013.

RSRCH
... was uploaded to Soundcloud as "XpNoiseResearch" demo in the past. At an early state, Jaymon was jammin' around with some records and a new mixer (including effects unit) and decided to record a spontaneous session. Only noise samples and some short sample cuts were used; the delay effect was dropped to "wet" and the effect continued to play. Switching very fastly between wet and dry, he recorded everything to hard disk and then put everything again together, using new effects and modulations.

MSHRM
… was created after a nice and sunny late summer afternoon with friends, having a hike into the mountains of Zittau for a few hours. It was the beginning of the early autumn season, so Jaymon took some field recordings and transformed them to this track.

NVMBR
… unsurprisingly - recorded in November. In its original intention, the sound material was used for a soundtrack to a clip before a local film contest. Of course, he also contributed with an own clip to this contest, but with another kind of music stuff. The entire sound material of this track here comes from field recordings of the first clip, but instead having those sounds recorded by a field recording unit, Jaymon took every sound by the sound unit of his cam.

Includes download of a bonus video clip upon purchase of the full digital release.
